Ashwini and Rakesh’s is another love story. They met during Uni through a common friend. And who would’ve known that one day they would get married.
Their wedding was at the Karnataka Jain Bhavan.
I have to mention this in the blog that this was the fastest Iyer wedding ever. I mean EVER! Finished in Record time. The rituals started a little after 7.00am and was done by 9.45am. Amazing!
Honestly, I haven’t laughed so much while choosing pictures for the blog. You’ll know why mid-way. :)
Ashwini was carrying out the Gowri Pooja. I love the way the light from the lamp has lit Ashwini’s face.
Notice the flame, interesting shape right.
Meanwhile, Rakesh was getting ready to start his Kasi Yatra.
Its never complete without a picture like this. :)
Nice shot Raghu.
After the Kasi Yatra ritual was done, everybody blessed him for the next challenge.
It’s an Iyer wedding. Yup, always love to capture this couple challenge. Good aim Rakesh!
This was just awesome. They danced all the way to the swing. It was brilliant! :D
Oonjal. The ritual where if you are not attentive, you might just wreck your camera equipment. :)
Ashwini just wouldn’t stop smiling. Both of them enjoyed every bit of the wedding.
Ok. The photos that follow are my favorite. Laughed my butt off. :P
Here is the first picture where I really wanted to warn Raghu, who was standing with the camera right in the rice ball’s trajectory.
And this kid decided to take revenge on Rakesh’s mom. This is just hilarious! Love that lady’s expression! Epic! :P
No no. He is not part of my team. :P
Here comes the famous ritual among Kannadigas, the Jeerge-Bella Challenge. Both of them were very prepared!
And, it’s a ‘TIE’! Extremely rare! Says a lot. :D
Yes yes. You are getting married today. :)
Rakesh was one step closer to being married. He had to first get the approval from the crowd before he tied the knot.
Man! They were showered in petals from every possible direction. An Explosion of colors! :)
This picture speaks volumes. Good one Raghu.
Love the way the foot steps are in-between all those petals on the floor for the Sapthapadi.
Rakesh’s family have this special tradition, where at every wedding that happens in their family, the couple have to dance to a song (with lyrics changed and definitely very dirty) :P
I managed to steal them away from that very energetic family for a quick picture.
Ashwini and Rakesh. You guys are perfect for each other. Congratulations and wish you the best in life wherever you are!
It was awesome fun documenting your wedding. Thank you for choosing CuspConcepts.
Hope you like the pictures. :)
