103. Shweta and Abhay
It feels like some major burden was lifted off me when I crossed a huge emotional milestone of 100 assignments. Started this year with a very clear mind-set. I’ve become very very choosy when it comes to choosing the assignments I want to shoot. And this assignment comes up. Thanks to Shreya from KraftedKnots for introducing me to the most awesome people I’ve ever met on an assignment.
This couple and their family had planned a wedding which was like a template for an ideal wedding in the 21st Century. I’m sure you are curious to know why? Well, they spread the events across 3-4 days and the focus was on enjoying the time with family without any pressure from anyone. Honestly, the venue or the people is not what matters here but it’s their thought process and attitude that makes the difference. It totally matched my wavelength.
The chemistry that you see between them is like watching your favorite Rom-Com movie. Shweta keeps reminding me that they only met last July but I don’t believe them. It was a long distance relationship since Abhay stays in California and Shweta just returned from Australia. The main reason why everything looked so beautiful in the wedding is because both Shweta and her sister are into fashion designing. Overflowing with creativity.
The venue for all the events that ran up to the wedding was at Clarks Exotica, a resort close to KIAL and you know how awesome the team at Krafted Knots is. So the stage was already set for the wedding to be kick-ass! :)
The first time I met both of them was for the Pre-wedding shoot. It felt like I knew them for years. It was a mid-day shoot, so we went around the resort finding picture-friendly light. I totally enjoyed the shoot, you’d know why? :D
Shweta looked gorgeous and any picture I took looked really good. :)
Yup, they flirted with each other BIG-TIME! :)
I made them sit in the Coffee-shop for sometime to get a break from the bright sun. I like this picture!
Abhay wouldn’t take his eyes of her even for a minute. Honestly, his gestures showed how much he cares for her.
They would hold hands all the time… (I know some of you romantic people are already feeling a little light-hearted)
See… aren’t they super adorable.
To keep the blog short, I’m skipping the Mehendi and Sangeeth events. (I had to really limit myself from putting a lot of pictures)
On the wedding day, Shweta was ready very early, thanks to Vikram the makeup artist who is just awesome! Shweta looked stunning in her wedding attire.
Ok, I’m very proud of this picture. Love it.
Abhay looked great too. Ready to sweep her off her feet. For some of you who might be interested to know, Abhay’s wedding attire is from Samyakk.
The way the groom entered was so cool. He first entered the wedding venue with his family. Here is a picture of Shweta’s family waiting at the other end of the hall.
And then, suddenly the DJ played a traditional baraath song and all the baraathis started dancing. None of us expected this. And to make it even more awesome, the DJ played ‘Lungi Dance’ later.
Obviously, Abhay couldn’t resist it anymore and started dancing too. Yup! We were thrilled!!! :D
Abhay was just admiring his bride, while Shweta was being escorted to the stage.
Shweta’s close friends and family escorted her to the stage.
And then, eyes met! :D
Her hands were placed on his by her mother. Just looking at the way he is using both his hands and the way he is holding her hand speaks volumes about his character.
It was an Arya-Samaj wedding. And the pandith explained every ritual in layman’s terms. He is a Mangalorean and she is a Telugu girl. The best way to get married.
I liked this ritual where the bride leads the groom around the fire.
They were getting closer and closer to being husband and wife.
I love the way the entire crowd is asked to bless the couple along with their parents.
I think Shweta had visualized this wedding a hundred times already. :)
Look at them, so happy!
Shweta and Abhay. Congratulations and wish you the best in life wherever you are!
This is one wedding that’ll be close to my heart for years to come. Had so much fun documenting your wedding.
Thank you for choosing CuspConcepts.
Hope you like the pictures! :)
