Teena is a friend of mine from my B-School days. We worked on some brochures for our institute then, I’d realized then itself that she is a perfectionist, generally very organised. When she called me to ask if I was available for her wedding; I knew one thing for sure, that its going to be the most organised wedding I’ve shot. Trust me. It was! There was an agenda packed engagement before the wedding which was beautiful. That’s where I met her fiance Paul who is just perfect for her. Why? Both are calm, confident and chilled out. Warning: Looks can be deceiving, Teena might look very serious and focused at what’s happening esp. in the initial half of the blog, but believe me Teena and her family are way too chilled out. (actually, they are a wild bunch) :P The wedding was in Kozhikode and the Reception was at The Gateway Hotel. The previous day it rained so heavily that the traffic was stranded for hours. Heard that the whole week was like that. The day of her wedding, there was absolutely no sign of rain, or aftermath of the previous day’s rain. It was nice and sunny. Actually, what am I saying. It was SUNNY! HOT! I-bet-I-could-make-maggi-noodles HOT! But I knew the day is going to be a great day for me from a photography perspective. :) Since I’d shot the Engagement ceremony that happened just a week before the wedding, everybody were relatively familiar. I waited outside her room and when I was called in to take some getting ready shots, I was totally blown away, Teena was looking so radiant! I just love this picture! Can you see the glow! The wedding dress was designed by her relative, if you need her contact leave a message at the end of this blog. :) Notice the bridesmaids wearing co-ordinated dresses. Guess which one’s the car the bride is sitting in. :) Even the flower girls were coordinated. Teena’s mom-in-law is in love with her. The bridesmaids were extremely helpful. (yes yes, I accept chocolates, cameras, lenses, PS3 games… etc) :P The gesture means a lot. They were welcomed by the priests, family, flower girls, bridesmaids and Paul’s best men. They took their positions and the ceremony started almost immediately. I was so intrigued with the art at the back. It’s a fine ceramic tile art! Amazing. Yup, I was busy admiring that art. The ceremony progressed and both of them were very focused on their tasks. It took slightly longer to finish but once it was done, there were smiles everywhere. Teena. You are one lucky bride! :) And then the whole crowd moved to The Gateway Hotel for the Reception. They clinked glasses and that was the beginning of a new journey for both of them. And then I pulled them away from the conventional photographers to get my pictures. Remember I told you these guys are wild! … :P It looks like Teena’s older brother is either beating Paul or tickling him. :P And then the bride threw a bouquet.. err no… a bottle to see the only unmarried bridesmaid catch it. :P (Her expression is priceless) And then I managed to take them away from the wild family/friends to get some pictures. Don’t they look truly in love. :) They met just a few months back. Can you believe it. Teena. You looked absolutely magazine-like gorgeous! :) Again. Teena. You are one lucky bride! :P This was just awesome. I think every newly wed should do this. They had both their names engraved on the ring. And. And. Also their wedding date! Yup! Tip for a happy married life. :P And Mrs Teena decides do this. (Love sharing the behind the scenes pictures, to give readers a complete picture) Such love birds I say! :) Teena and Paul. Congratulations and Wish you the best in life wherever you are! :) Thank you for letting me shoot such an organised wedding. I had a fantastic time shooting. Hope you like the pictures.
