112. Apoorva and Anirudh
I’ve shot so many love stories. Each one of them is unique. But this one has to be the cutest. Why? Well, Apoorva’s dog ‘Ruffles’ played cupid and helped her meet Anirudh, her soul mate. It’s true that all dogs go to heaven. :)
She shared the entire story on the booking request email, I HAD to do this wedding. :D
Anirudh is a Vet, the nicest Vet I’ve ever met till date, I’m sure Apoorva shares the same thought. :P
I had such a tough time shortlisting pictures for this blog. So many lovely ones. Here’s a glimpse at how I saw the wedding. :)
It was an Iyengar + Smartha style wedding. Probably the longest wedding I’ve shot but it was a lot of fun :)
We planned a pre-wedding shoot with Ruffles in Cubbon Park. It was so much fun. He is such an adorable dog! Lots of hugs to him from me please. :)
They are so photogenic! I enjoyed their company and the shoot. :)
The hero of the day!
Yup! They are both in love with each other! Look at that!
I love this picture!
I was even more happier to learn that the wedding was at Ganjam! (Me: Hee!)
Anirudh was super thrilled and excited! This picture just says it all :)
There were some short ceremonies as a run up to the wedding.
I think some mother-in-laws love doing this.
See. Again. Apoorva, your Mom-in-law loves you.
While Apoorva was carrying out the Gowri Pooja….
Anirudh was in the middle of his Kasi-yatra ritual.
Anirudh’s view was blocked by the Antharapata when Apoorva was lifted high up by her aunt and uncle.
They are both waiting for the cloth to come down.
Any guesses who won!? If you consider who got showered most by Jeerge, then Apoorva is the winner. :D
This is such a cool picture, this is how relaxed wedding ceremony should be.
Apoorva’s dad was really emotional during the Kanya-dhanam.
The hands positioned on the bride’s shoulder is so symbolic. Giving the confidence to the parents that she’s in good hands now.
I wonder what’s happening behind Anirudh and Apoorva in this picture. :P
The Nada swarah team filled the mantap up with the Mangalya dharana sound track but it was nothing infront of the ‘Wooohooo’-s from the people around!
Can only guess the sentiment here…
This is the first time ever that this competition of finding the ring in the bucket turned out to be so competitive. They toppled the bucket! Hahaha!
Ahem. ;)
The Reception party was on the lawns in Jayamahal Palace Hotel. The stage was beautiful! Notice the swing.
And it started to pour like crazy. Worst nightmare for anybody who have planned an outdoor party.
And the nightmare got worse. The car in which the bride and the groom were coming in stopped right in the middle of heavy traffic, in the rain.
But what was Epic!? Wait for it. The bride and groom arrived at the venue in an Auto-rickshaw! Yup! True story! Just look at them, do you see any remorse? Nope. Loved their attitude. Kudos to you both! Respect! :)
I wonder how the driver reacted when they explained the situation to him. :)
The night that turned out to be an Epic night was a great success and a perfect finish for a beautiful wedding.
Apoorva and Anirudh. You can’t get any more perfect for each other. Congratulations on finding each other and wish you both the best wherever you are!
Thank you so much for letting me document your wedding, we had a lot of fun.:)
Hope you like the pictures.
PS. They honeymooned in Spain, just for the record. :) So cool!
Wonderfully written ! Loved the pictures too ! Congratulations Apoorva and Anirudh and thanks Phalgun !
Btw I just loved the Autorickshaw part, hope more people had the same attitude like u l wen things don’t go as planned.
Great pics Phalgun!!! Thanksss !!! :)
Very nice photos. I really like the concept of having a pet in the pre wedding shoot. The idea of having a swing on the stage is amazing, the background of beautifully used coloured fabrics makes the stage looks out of the place. Thank you for sharing these ideas.
